Danum Valley Conservation Area is located 83 km southwest of Lahad Datu rich diversity of flora and fauna. This beautiful forest is the habitat of the Sumatran rhino, orangutan, gibbon, mouse deer and tiger roots. Approximately 270 species of birds have been recorded in this area. Danum Field Research Centre located within the forest reserve area of 440 square feet.
It also became one of the first eco-resort in Sabah is known as the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. The resort has a restaurant, bar and cozy chalet facing the Danum River. Among ACTIVITY offered are walking in the forest, swim in the river, bird watching, night jungle tour and visit the forest near the timber and timber mills.
