Burasa, also known as Buras |
Burasa is one of the special community comestible South Sulawesi. Comestible is known also by the name vaguely, coconut rice cake or-range. The shape is almost similar to the relatively flat and only rice cake cooked in its own way. Burasa is compulsory food for the South Sulawesi people who extract the poison festive days are served along with chicken curry or Coto Makassar.
Comestible is made of rice cooked with coconut milk tertebih formerly abundant rice to be mushy and further wrapped in banana leaves. Usually made into two sections in a bundle (using Raffia Strips or banana leaves) and then boiled until cooked. Comestible is also usually found outside the province of South Sulawesi as Papua or Kalimantan and several other regions in Indonesia. Perhaps because many tribes Makassar / Bugis who traveled and settled in the districts follow up this comestible part of a tradition of festive days in those areas.

In addition to serving on festive days, too many elected burasa food to stock in transit because it can last up to 2 x 24 hours. Burasa can be consumed with peanut sauce, boiled eggs or sauce Haban but the Bugis community or makassar more often make friends for food Coto Makassar, Sop Konro, pallubasa, Nasu lekku '(chicken cooked in ginger version of South Sulawesi) or other foods with gravy.
